Return of revised Monaco Yacht Show eagerly anticipated by all involved in superyacht sector

The owners of the Monaco Yacht Show have confirmed its return for 2021 following last year’s postponement – promising to deliver a show ‘driven more powerfully than ever by the superyacht clientele’ and offering a ‘bespoke experience of unparalleled prestige.’

The Informa Group says it has taken advantage of the year off in 2020 to work closely with the yachting industry on redesigning the event and this year’s event will promote the superyacht lifestyle to a new set of wealthy clients.

It says changes will make for a smaller, more intimate format, with a new Covid-safe approach that is designed to and make it easier for visitors to meet the right exhibitors.

WYM Group managing director Allan Wilson, who has attended every show since it was founded in 1991, says it is positive news.

“I think it really uplifting for all involved in the superyacht industry to hear from the organisers of the Monaco Yacht Show and how they have worked to ensure there can be a show which works better for owners, captains, exhibitors and visitors this year,” he said.

“I think that by the profile of each visitor being identified in advance of the show, and by renaming exhibition areas to identify themes and make it easier for visitors to find their way around is a positive step.

“Anything that helps yacht clients, advisors and consultants and trade visitors to meet people relevant to their needs at what usually a very busy and hectic show is welcomed.

“Our team look forward to attending once again to discuss the latest developments and challenges faced by the industry, and how we can help owners, captains and crews.

“We always enjoy meeting up with people associated with the yachts we manage, and after the challenges we have all faced over the past year, let’s hope we feel in a position to celebrate a more positive future come September, and that we have had a good summer of yachting behind us.”

The Monaco Yacht Show will be held from September 22-25, 2021.
